You may have heard the news. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is coming out next month. In a major marketing shakeup ahead of this summer’s highly anticipated blockbuster, Samsung Electronics has officially crashed the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a massive global partnership with Sony Pictures, putting its flagship foldable ecosystem directly into the hands of Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) as he tracks the superhero throughout the film. This campaign, however, goes far beyond standard on-screen prop placement, as Samsung has brought this fictional interface to life as an interactive fan portal at SpideyTracker.com.

Breaking the Mold
Throughout the summer, fans can use the hub to hunt for real-time “Spider-Man sightings,” unlock exclusive cast content drops, hunt down hidden MCU easter eggs, and watch the film’s second official trailer unfold in an entirely new way. “Incorporating Galaxy technology into such a beloved Spider-Man storytelling world gives us a chance to showcase how even your friendly neighborhood hero relies only on,” says Keena Grigsby, chief marketing officer and vice president of mobile experience at Samsung Electronics America, in a statement given to Variety.
“Spider-Man has always been a hero defined by his connection to his community,” added Jeffrey Godsick, executive vice president, global partnerships, at Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the star-studded July 31 release features Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, and Jon Bernthal making his fierce return as Frank Castle (The Punisher). By merging daily-driver technology with the ultimate street-level superhero rollout, Samsung is ensuring that when Spidey swings back into theaters, he’s doing it with a major tech upgrade.
