History & Synopsis
Directed by Angela Robinson and released in summer 2005, Herbie: Fully Loaded serves as a direct sequel to the classic Disney Love Bug film series. The story follows Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan), the youngest member of a legendary NASCAR family headed by her father, Ray Peyton Sr. (Michael Keaton). Gifted a rusty 1963 Volkswagen Beetle from a junkyard for her college graduation, Maggie discovers the car possesses a living mind of its own. Partnering with mechanic Kevin (Justin Long), Maggie and Herbie enter street races and demolition derbies before challenging arrogant NASCAR champion Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon) on the professional circuit.
