Universal Reveals SpongeBob SquarePants ‘Bikini Bottom’ Land for Kids Resort

Universal’s first “SpongeBob SquarePants” land has officially arrived, and as lifelong fans, we couldn’t be more excited. Located in Frisco, Texas, the specialized resort area is custom-designed for families with younger children and will feature a fully immersive recreation of Bikini Bottom filled with kid-friendly flat rides, interactive play spaces, and themed dining straight from the classic Nickelodeon series. A Closer Look at the Bikini Bottom Attractions

The upcoming land skips high-thrill roller coasters to focus entirely on creative, approachable attractions tailored directly to the scale of younger kids.

According to the official layout announcement, visitors will be able to experience several signature spots:

  • Jellyfish Fields Jamboree: A hub-and-spoke flying ride in the style of Disneyland’s Dumbo attraction.
  • Barnacle Bus: Need a ride? Be sure to hop on the Barnacle Bus for an adventure.
  • Bobbing Barrels: Another family ride adding to the interactive amusement lineup of the land.
  • Pineapple Paradise: A dedicated water play area themed entirely after SpongeBob’s iconic pineapple house to keep kids cool.
  • Barg’N-Mart: The land’s primary gift shop. Early preview looks at the merchandise across the Universal Kids Resort lands highlight a Glove World hat as the early hit item.

The rollout of the SpongeBob SquarePants area marks a major development for the Universal Kids Resort project, which originally broke ground in Frisco back in 2023. By pairing world-class IP like Nickelodeon with a smaller, more approachable park footprint, Universal is actively engineering a stress-free alternative to its massive destination resorts in Orlando and Hollywood. The Bikini Bottom addition ensures younger kids get a completely interactive playground built exactly to their pace.
