  • Dates: May 23 – August 10, 2026

Universal Studios Florida has officially launched its highly anticipated seasonal retrospective: the Spielberg Summer Blockbusters Exhibit. Running from May 23 through August 10, 2026, inside the Hollywood sector of the park, this limited-time walkthrough museum celebrates filmmaker Steven Spielberg’s multi-decade creative partnership with Universal Pictures.

The activation arrives at a key financial intersection. Spielberg maintains a historic 1987 creative consultant contract granting him an estimated 2% of gross revenues across all Universal Orlando gates—a deal that officially encompasses the newly operational Universal Epic Universe park.

Jaws Animatronics and Screen-Used Artifacts

  • The Archival Vault: Guests can view rare film artifacts up close, including a fully restored animatronic shark head from Jaws (1975), original mechanical components from the Back to the Future DeLorean (1985), and original production continuity scripts from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).
  • The Disclosure Day First Look: The final gallery shifts focus to modern production design, offering an exclusive sneak peek at practical set models, conceptual art, and hardware from Spielberg’s upcoming sci-fi feature Disclosure Day, arriving in theaters June 12, 2026.

  • New Jaws Experiences: Universal has deployed dedicated, interactive Jaws-themed photo opportunities throughout the park, complemented by parks-exclusive vintage apparel collections and specialty themed food and beverage menus.
  • The Entertainment Ecosystem: The installation coordinates with returning outdoor seasonal events. The iconic film scores of John Williams directly anchor the nighttime CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular lagoon show and the Universal Mega Movie Parade, providing a cohesive, property-wide tribute to classic Hollywood cinema.

While Universal pours billions into screen-heavy simulation rides, the Spielberg Summer Blockbusters Exhibit proves its deepest asset is its practical filmmaking heritage.

The pop-up attraction runs from May 23 through August 10.
