Pokémon is going all out for its 30th anniversary milestone. As anticipation builds for the upcoming 30th Celebration set, fever pitch is at a high among collectors and players alike. Because of the incredible demand—and the inevitable rush from scalpers—the community is highly hoping that The Pokémon Company prints this anniversary run at a massive rate so fans can actually get their hands on it. The worldwide release date for the 30th Anniversary Celebration set is officially locked in for September 16, 2026. However, if you are collecting the English editions, you will need to map out your budget across a staggered, multi-month release calendar.
The 14 distinct products will hit store shelves across four separate rollout windows:
- Wave 1 (September 16): The initial launch wave is packed with seven standalone items. This includes the standard Elite Trainer Box (featuring an Illustration Rare-style Nidorina card), the Pokémon Center exclusive ETB, the Poster Collection, the Tech Sticker Collection (featuring Lucario or Alolan Exeggutor) and more.
- Wave 2 (October 2): A smaller secondary drop focusing on storage and bulk packs arrives a few weeks later. This wave brings the Day & Night Mini Tins, the 9-pocket portfolio Binder Collection, and standard 6-pack Booster Bundles.
- Wave 3 (October 30): Competitive players get their dedicated drop right before Halloween with the launch of the all-foil, 60-card Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks.
- Wave 4 (November 6): The final, most expensive tier hits shelves in November. This grand finale includes the Ditto Premium Collection, the Mewtwo & Mew Figure Collection, and the massive Ultra-Premium Collections.

For the hardcore fans looking to complete a true master set of the 30th Celebration line, this staggered release format is going to require a serious financial commitment. Because so many highly sought-after promo cards are locked directly behind specific premium products—such as the four exclusive cards split between the two unique Ultra Premium Collection variations—getting a complete collection will mean chasing down almost every single box type in the 14-product lineup.
Let the games begin.
