Tomorrow, May 1, 2026, RZA officially returns to the director’s chair with One Spoon of Chocolate. This isn’t just a movie release; it’s a full-circle moment for the Wu-Tang mastermind, arriving with a “Quentin Tarantino Presents” seal of approval that tells you that’s exactly the kind of movie you want to catch on a weekend night. Starring Shameik Moore and released through RZA’s new 36 Cinema label, the film is a unapologetic throwback to the grindhouse era—gritty, saturated, and dripping with the kind of stylized violence that made us fall in love with 70s cinema in the first place. The Storyline

The film follows Unique as he discovers a sinister organ-harvesting ring operating out of a small town. When the local sheriff (Michael Harney) and a racist gang target his family, Unique is forced to trade his fresh start for something different. The title comes from a veteran’s wisdom: “One spoon of chocolate can change a glass of milk.” It’s a metaphor for how one person can disrupt a toxic system, and Unique is about to do exactly that with his very specific set of skills (cue Liam Neeson in Taken).

• The Rollout: Opening nationwide in Regal, AMC, and select independent theaters (like Nashville’s Belcourt).
