Trivia & Fun Facts
- Cross-Promotional Vehicle: The musical climax features Hilary Duff performing “Fly” and “Someone’s Watching over Me,” tracks that directly anchored the simultaneous commercial launch of her self-titled 2004 multi-platinum studio album.
- Early Collaborations: The film served as a prominent early career point for Kat Dennings, who shared high-tempo chemistry with Duff years before finding massive television sitcom syndication success.
- The British Co-Star Rotation: Following Oliver James’s high-visibility debut opposite Amanda Bynes in 2003’s *What a Girl Wants*, New Line Cinema deliberately locked him in as Duff’s primary romantic and musical counterpart.
- Familiar Directorial Synergy: Director Sean McNamara had previously collaborated closely with Disney Channel talent structures, working behind the scenes on *Even Stevens* alongside Christy Carlson Romano before stepping into theatrical features.
