Devil Fruit Air Max Plus & Anime Apparel: Nike Unveils Massive ‘One Piece’ Collection

  • Devil Fruit Footwear: The collaboration centers around three completely retooled colorways of the Nike Air Max Plus, drawing visual cues from the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi.
  • Archive-Inspired Apparel: Includes retro Air Max Plus athletic jerseys, headwear, archival graphic tees, and a specialized tactical vest.
  • Manga Integration: T-shirts blend vintage 1990s Nike print advertisement layouts with Eiichiro Oda’s iconic artwork and Monkey D. Luffy’s hand-drawn Jolly Roger emblem.
  • Staggered Launch: Debuts through immersive Tokyo pop-ups on September 4, 2026, ahead of a global retail rollout on September 25, 2026.

One Piece fans are eating good this year. The latest collaboration, you ask? Nike has officially teamed up with the powerhouse for a wide-ranging collection spanning performance footwear and archival apparel. Rather than sticking to simple color swaps, however, the partnership delves deep into pirate lore to transform classic sportswear into collectible artifacts.

Here’s what you need to know.

The flagship offering of the collaboration is a trio of heavily modified Nike Air Max Plus sneakers. Each pair features a reengineered upper texture engineered to mimic the mystical skin patterns of the story’s legendary Devil Fruits:

  • Gomu Gomu no Mi: Inspired by Luffy’s rubber-stretching power.
  • Ope Ope no Mi: Nodding to Trafalgar Law’s spatial manipulation abilities.
  • Mera Mera no Mi: Capturing the fiery aesthetics associated with Portgas D. Ace and Sabo.

On the apparel side, the capsule pulls heavily from vintage Nike design language. The lineup includes retro Air Max Plus jerseys, co-branded caps and graphic tees that mix old-school Nike print ads with manga panels and Luffy’s infamous homemade pirate flag.

Rounding out the release is a utility vest subtly themed around the Devil Fruit curse—a clever nod to the lore where consuming one grants power at the cost of losing the ability to swim.

Release Schedule and Availability

The Nike x One Piece collection will launch through an exclusive series of interactive pop-up shops and retail activations in Tokyo starting September 4, 2026. A broader global release across Nike SNKRS, the official webstore, and select boutique retailers will follow on September 25, 2026.

I know what date I’m marking down in my calendar (and you should too).
