It seems like us 1990s babies keep getting treated to all of our favorites. The latest example, you ask? None other than Pokémon teaming up with Krispy Kreme for a delicious collection that sparks instant nostalgia. That’s right, Krispy Kreme and Pokémon is officially in action.

- Pro-Tip for a Freebie: Dig out your favorite old-school Pokémon shirt, hat, or gear! If you walk into a shop wearing it on Saturday, August 22, they’ll hand you a free Original Glazed Doughnut just for showing up.
- Mark Your Calendar: The collection officially drops nationwide on Tuesday, August 18, 2026—but if you want to skip the inevitable lines, pre-orders actually open on the Krispy Kreme app starting Thursday, August 13.
- Where to Hunt Them Down: You can grab fresh 12-packs at participating Krispy Kreme shops or order online. If you don’t have a shop nearby, keep an eye out for select 6-packs hitting grocery shelves at Walmart and Kroger.
Beyond the individual doughnuts, what caught my eye is the collectible merch. They’re releasing special-edition Pokémon cups in five character designs packed with 10 Original Glazed Gold Dots—and honestly, as a collector, those cups are high on my priority list.
You’ll be able to grab the whole collection in custom 12-count boxes at Krispy Kreme shops or in retail 6-packs if you’re grabbing groceries.
Also, I definitely plan on participating in the promo on Saturday, August 22: if you show up to a participating shop wearing any Pokémon attire, you get a free Original Glazed Doughnut. I’m already pulling out my old-school gear just for the free glazed!
