Time to dance our way to the checkout. Mattel is celebrating the unmatched legacy of the Voice. The toy maker has officially launched the Barbie Signature Whitney Houston Doll, paying tribute to over four decades of global musical impact from the legendary singer.

Unveiled at the 5th Legacy of Love Gala in Atlanta—hosted by the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation—the collectible doll was developed in close partnership with Pat Houston, executor of the singer’s estate. Rather than a general portrait, Mattel opted to immortalize one of the most recognizable visuals in 80s pop culture history: Houston’s vibrant look from her smash 1987 music video “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me).”

Standing at 12 inches tall, the doll recreates the chart-topping singer’s signature style down to the finest details. Features include her voluminous blonde-streaked curls, bold electric eye makeup, a replica purple tank dress, statement drop earrings, and a miniature microphone complete with a stand.

First discovered by music titan Clive Davis before dropping her diamond-certified 1985 debut, Houston went on to redefine pop music with historic anthems like “I Will Always Love You,” “How Will I Know,” and her unforgettable Super Bowl XXV rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

“Today, we celebrate more than the release of a doll, we celebrate the enduring legacy of an icon,” Pat Houston said in a statement provided by Mattel. “The new Whitney Houston Barbie honors a woman whose voice, grace, beauty, and spirit inspired generations around the world. May this doll remind every child and every collector that dreams have no limits, excellence leaves a lasting imprint, and true greatness never goes out of style. Thank you, Mattel for making one of Whitney’s dreams come true,” she added.
