The Features

The shoe brings major performance upgrades to the line, starting with a lightweight TPU cage that wraps the foot for enhanced stability. This setup links directly into the shoe’s distinct vertical side Swoosh, locking the foot down tight to handle aggressive crossover dribbles and sudden stops. Underneath, the cushioning system gets an upgrade, pairing a bouncy Cushlon 3.0 foam base with a high-end, premium supercritical foam sockliner. The result is a setup that balances a low-to-the-ground court feel with plenty of impact protection and energy return when pushing off the floor.

A specialized high-grip rubber pattern handles the traction duties to allow for instant stops, while durable foam ridges run along the sides of the chassis to protect the material from wear and tear when dragging your feet. True to Morant’s style of personal storytelling, the debut version arrives in a striking, dark palette named the “Nightmare.” The design is loaded with personal Easter eggs, including Ja’s custom logo, a nod to his original grass-roots basketball program jersey number, and motivational text stamped right into the inner upper and the outsole tread.

The shoe drops August 13 via Nike.
