While the culture largely remembers “I’m Real” for its chart-topping “Murder Remix,” the original track from the J.Lo album was a standalone piece in of itself. Built on a bright, synth-heavy structure, it heavily samples the looping bassline of Yellow Magic Orchestra’s 1978 record “Firecracker.” Directed by Dave Meyers, the music video opted for small-town Americana visuals, featuring J.Lo riding a motorcycle through a suburban neighborhood, hanging at a diner, and leading a tunnel dance break in iconic, low-rise early-2000s streetwear.

The Numbers

The Music Video
