The intersection of street-racing nostalgia and hardwood performance just got a nitro boost. PUMA and Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball have officially unveiled a multi-model collaboration with Universal Pictures’ iconic Fast & Furious franchise. Releasing February 12, the collection consists of custom editions of the MB.05, LaFrancé, and LaFrancé RNR, there’s four electrifying styles that pay tribute to the bold energy of the films and Melo’s one-of-one aesthetic. While the hype is in the colors, the “Decked Out” value is in the hidden references. Here are the design “Easter eggs” we’ve decoded across the pack.

The Product Lineup
The ‘Nuclear Gladiator’ Spec (MB.05 “LA”)
The orange MB.05 isn’t just a nod to Brian O’Conner’s 1994 Toyota Supra. The specific yellow scratch marks on the side panels are a technical transposition of the decals from the original movie car. PUMA’s designers merged LaMelo’s “Not From Here” wings with the iconic automotive vinyl to create a seamless piece of hardware.
The Blower Butterfly Tribute (LaFrancé RNR)
Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger is defined by its brute force. Look closely at the toe box of the black patent leather LaFrancé RNR: the three red circles are a nod to the red intake butterflies found on Dom’s exposed supercharger.
The Anime Livery Texture (MB.05 “Miami”)
Suki’s pink Honda S2000 from 2 Fast 2 Furious featured custom anime airbrushing. On the pink MB.05, the white line-work stretching across the vamp isn’t just a pattern—it’s a high-fidelity replication of the hand-painted graphics from the film car’s hood.
The Skyline ‘Ghost’ Logic (LaFrancé)
For the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 fans, the silver and blue LaFrancé features blue racing stripes down the tongue that follow the exact parallel offset of Brian’s R34 hood stripes. It’s a motorsport-lifestyle anchor that bridges the gap between the court and the street.
