ATLANTA, GA – Decked Out Magazine is proud to announce its comprehensive coverage of the Atlanta screening of the award-winning psychological thriller, The Observance, at AMC Theatres. The film will premiere in Atlanta, as part of a multi-city nationwide rollout exclusively on AMC screens beginning February 13, 2026, and tells the story of a woman who awakens from a five-year coma after a terrible car accident to find her world drastically altered. Starring Kate Dailey and Alec James, the cast also features renowned character actor Ted Raimi, best known for his roles as Hoffman in The Spider-Man trilogy. Raimi also recently played the sinister Sheriff Travis Hackett in the acclaimed hit horror game, The Quarry.
The script is co-written by Beyond Casual principals Rob Hollocks and Amy Bailey, from an original idea by Bailey. Hollocks and Bailey are co-producers, with Hollocks serving as director of the film.
The Observance has received numerous accolades from film festivals in both the US and abroad. The film earned an Excellence Award from Delaware’s Sci Fi Horror and Action Film Festival and earned Best Thriller and Best Director honors at the Hollywood Best Indie Film Awards. It was named Best Feature/Suspense Thriller by the International Horror Hotel Film Festival, with Alec James earning a Best Actor nod. The film has also been selected for competition at the Horror Haven Film Festival, the Great Plains Film Festival, the New Jersey Mystery, Crime and Horror Film Festival and the online Diabolical Horror Film Festival.
International recognition has included the Berlin Indie Film Festival, where The Observance was named Best Horror/Thriller and Kate Dailey and Ted Raimi earned Best Actress and Best Actor plaudits. The Tokyo Film & Screenplay Awards honored the film with its Best Independent Feature/Best Thriller award. In addition, The Observance was an award-nominee at the Birmingham Horror Film Festival in Birmingham, England and a semi-finalist at Quebec’s Bloody Horror International Film Festival.
