Decked Out is a cultural explainer studio—using journalism, history, and marketing analysis to explain how modern icons, movements, and moments are made.
As a journalist over the years, I’ve frequently become frustrated with my ideas being shut down before I’ve even gotten a chance to explain my thoughts completely, and having my vision completely disregarded. Hence, launching my own media company. From entertainment to the latest happenings in pop culture collaborations, Decked Out Magazine is my way of bringing old-school journalism back with a modern twist. Additionally, I’ve spent the last 10 years collecting vintage sportswear and tracking the evolution of film fashion. Whether it’s analyzing the costume design in the new Michael biopic or testing the durability of heavyweight hoodies, my goal is to provide first-hand insights you won’t find in a press release. Decked Out Magazine is an independent digital publication founded by Jael Rucker in 2025, focusing on lifestyle, entertainment and the business of Hollywood.
Vice President

Andrew Greene is a quality-obsessed, results-driven powerhouse with nearly two decades of experience transforming complexity into clear, actionable solutions. His secret weapon? A mix of analytical sharpness, problem-solving precision and a communication and leadership style that’s equal parts clarity and charisma. From Quality Assurance to political data analysis, you can think of him as the Swiss Army knife of operational excellence, minus the corkscrew (unless it’s a team celebration).
Our North Star
Decked Out Magazine exists to document, shape, and elevate modern culture through uncompromising editorial standards and immersive storytelling. We test every product, verify every detail, and ground every trend in real data. Through innovative partnerships that fuse sneakers, automotive excellence, sports and entertainment, our mission isn’t just to cover the culture, but help build it.
Our Origins
“Every culture has a moment when the truth refuses to stay quiet.” – Jael Rucker
Decked Out Magazine was born in the shadows of newsroom hallways where good stories went to die. Before the brand existed, there was just a writer, sharp, relentless, and obsessed with accuracy, pitching stories that mattered. Stories about culture, about creativity, about the truth. Stories that didn’t fit the safe, sanitized mold of the traditional media machine.
But every pitch met the same fate: Rejected. Softened. Silenced. Not because the work lacked quality, but because the truth made the wrong people uncomfortable.
The force standing in the way wasn’t a single editor or company. It was a system, a culture of gatekeeping where fear outweighed integrity, where narratives were shaped by convenience instead of facts, and where certain truths were treated like threats instead of journalism.
That system underestimated the one thing it couldn’t control: a storyteller who refused to be muted.
So the creator did what visionaries do: built something new.
Decked Out Magazine emerged as a rebellion disguised as a publication. A place where stories weren’t filtered through corporate fear. A place where product reviews were based on real testing, not press releases. A place where trend forecasts came from data and cultural analysis, not guesswork. A place where the truth about artists, icons, and cultural giants could finally breathe.
What started as one writer’s frustration became a movement, a team of creators, testers, analysts, and cultural architects united by a single belief: Culture deserves honesty. Readers deserve accuracy. And the truth deserves a home.
Today, Decked Out Magazine is the force that rose when the old guard tried to shut the door. It’s the platform built from rejection, powered by integrity and driven by the mission to document culture without distortion.
And the old system? Still out there, still gatekeeping, still sanitizing, still afraid of the truth.
But now, the truth has a home. Decked Out Magazine.
And the story is just getting started.
